SUPERMAN’S PAL JIMMY OLSEN 81, December 1964, was published on October 8, 1964. It contained 32 pages for the cover price of 12¢. The editor was Mort Weisinger, and the cover was pencilled by Curt Swan, inked by George Klein and lettered by Ira Schnapp. It featured the issue’s second of three eight page stories.

– (3:06) THE RANSOM OF SUPERMAN, written by Jerry Siegel, pencilled by Curt Swan and inked by George Klein. This was the 50th silver age Superman story written by Siegel we’ve covered on the podcast, and his 132nd overall for the era.

– (23:52) THE DEMONS FROM PANDORA’S BOX, written by Jerry Siegel and drawn by Kurt Schaffenberger. This was Siegel’s 51st silver age Superman story we’ve covered on the podcast, and his 133rd for the era. It was reprinted in SUPERMAN 272, February 1974, published on November 15, 1973 (which was my sister’s sixth birthday). It contained 100 pages for the cover price of 50¢. This story was also reprinted in BEST OF DC 38, July 1983, published on April 7, 1983. It also contained 100 pages for the cover price of $1.25.

– JIMMY’S INDIAN SUPER-PAL, written by Leo Dorfman and drawn by John Forte.
